I recently moved my 84 year-old mom into the independent living community at the Delaney.  It was a hard decision, and we looked at many other communities here in the area.  I am very confident that we made the right decision.  The staff is very attentive, responsive, patient, and flexible as we went through this process. They have a variety of activities, food is good with a well-rounded menu and the grounds and building are well maintained. The rooms are freshly painted and cleaned for move-in and spacious. My dear Mother lives here and has for the past six years! This place is a fantastic facility to live. They have so many amenities and activities for the residents that they stay very busy in a social environment. The apartments are very well maintained and the residents are safe. Heidi is the director of this facility and because of her fantastic Christian leadership everyone that works there are so friendly and professional. The staff knows the residents and get involved with them in their activities. The food is fantastic because of the chief that works there, he will have a meal that is always top notch. The restaurant can also meet any of the residents special food requirements like my Mom at times need. When you walk into the place you see a smile on everybody's face staff, residents, and visitors alike. I feel secure knowing my Mom lives there in such a great place! Update My Mom has recently been moved to the memory care section at the Delaney South Shore and has been a blessing for her and our family. The care she receives is excellent. They have actives all day for them like group exercises, group games, and crafts to keep her physical and mentally active. The staff is so sweet and caring. The lady that is over the memory care section is very caring and knowledgeable of what my Moms needs. I’m very happy with the help my mother receives at the Delaney South Shore. She is very happy there always has a smile on her face even though she is going through a tough time in life. My mother-in-law lives at The Delaney. When my husband and I visit The Delaney, we love seeing how caring and attentive the staff is to the residents. The staff is always so patient and kind. with all the residents.  The residents are truly treated first class.  My mother-in-law absolutely LOVES living at The Delaney. Update We recently moved my mother-in-law from independent living into the memory care unit, and the experience has been wonderful. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and highly skilled in caring for residents with memory needs.  Most important my mother-in-law has adjusted wonderfully and is very happy with her new home. They made a challenging transition feel manageable and reassuring. We are so thankful to know she is in such caring hands.
